The headquarters of Iran’s national airline at the Teheran airport has been holding a secret for over 30 years but holding it in plain sight. Satellite images from Google Earth reveal the Star of David on the roof of the building. As the ire of Iranian officials was raised by this geopolitical prank, speculations rose about the origin of this Zionist symbol in the midst of the Islamic revolution.
The answer is quite obvious. Israel and pre-revolutionary Iran were not hostile. According to the latest news reports, Israeli engineers built the headquarters of Iran Air. Regular flights started in 1960 between Teheran’s Mehrabad International Airport and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport. It is also reported that Israel sold weapons to Iran during this period.

Back in August, somebody noticed that a new monument being built in Teheran’s Revolution Square is covered in hundreds of Stars of David. No one knows if this was ignorance or carelessness on the part of the artist doing the design. Here is a picture of the monument under construction. A local web site showed a picture detailing where the stars are to be found.
Official Outrage
Authorities are calling for the removal of the Star from the headquarters of Iran Air. What will they do about the monument in Revolution Square?
