On June 12, 2012, at approximately 9 a.m., members of the District 9 RCMP in Belledune responded to an industrial incident at a welding company in the Charlo area.

The victim, a 19-year-old man from Charlo, had already passed away when police and paramedics arrived.

It’s believed the incident happened when two fork lifts collided with each other in the storage yard behind the business. The 19-year-old was caught underneath one of the fork lifts. Worksafe New Brunswick is investigating to determine the cause of the collision. The RCMP is assisting with the investigation.

The man’s name is not being released at this time, pending notification of his family.
